This PIR infrared sensor module is based on infrared technology, automatic control products. High sensitivity, high reliability, low power consumption, ultra-low-voltage operation mode.
Widely used in various auto-sensing of electrical equipment, especially battery-powered automatic control products.
Due to the low requirements, these will work with pretty much any microcontroller you are currently developing with.

This is an easy, simple to use Passive IR sensor - it only needs a single I/O pin on a microcontroller.
- Working voltage: 5V to 20V
- Output: High: 3.3V, Low: 0V
- Detection angle: Approximately 120 degrees
- Ground: Connect to your Ground or 0V
- Output: High 3.3V - Low 0V
- 5-20V: Connect to your power supply positive voltage - between 5V and 20V
- Detection Range: 7m Approx.
- Detection Angle: 120 Degrees Approx.
The solder pads allow you to choose if the output should automatically reset itself after it is triggered. If set to Auto-reset the sensor will stay high until the motion stops. After motion is no longer detected the output will go low after the preset time period. If set to No reset the sensor will stop sensing once it has triggered, and stays high for the preset time period. To choose one of these settings, simply create a solder-bridge between the labelled pad and the pad in the middle.
The potentiometer labelled Sensitivity allows you to select the distance that the sensor will work over. It can be varied from approximately 3m to 7m.
The potentiometer labelled Output timing adjusts how long the output is held high after the sensor is triggered. This can be varied from approximately 5 seconds to 300 seconds.
